Marfrig says the US 50% tariff will not impact the company

Marfrig reported that the new 50% tariff imposed by the US on Brazilian beef will not have a significant impact on the company. According to a statement released on August 1, the company’s exports to the US from Brazil total about 7,000 tons in 2025, representing only 1.4% of its South American operations and 0.18% of its consolidated total.

The company stressed that its operations in Brazil continue normally, with no production interruptions or relevant effects on revenue or profitability. It also has plants in Uruguay and Argentina that have already exported to the USA 27,000 tons in 2025, as well as operations in the US through National Beef, reinforcing its geographic diversification.

Since July 17, the Várzea Grande (MT) plant has temporarily suspended planned exports to the US for “commercial reasons,” with no set return date.
